Springfield Couple Launches New Pet Food Business - The Edwardsville Intelligencer

Holly and Dennis Ensor Launch Pet Wants of Springfield to offer fresh, high-quality pet food delivered directly to homes in Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Rogersville and the surrounding communities.

Springfield, MO (PRWEB) September 13, 2016

Before finding Pet Wants, Holly Ensor spent two days each month cooking 80 pounds of hamburger, 50 cups of rice and 15 pounds of carrots for her two dogs. With their GI issues, her favorite companions couldn’t eat commercial food and live indoors, but when she found Pet Wants, that all changed. The high-quality, small-batch kibble was easy on their stomachs, high in nutritional value and meant Holly had a lot more time to spend enjoying her pets.

Now Holly and her husband Dennis are excited to offer Pet Wants to other pet families in their community with their new small business, Pet Wants Springfield.

“Dennis and I were looking for a business we could do in retirement and, when we came across Pet Wants, it sparked our interest. We had been cooking for our two dogs (one has since passed away) for many years because they had so many issues with commercial pet food. When we read the Pets Wants testimonials from other pet owners – and saw how many of them were cooking pet food until they found Pet Wants – we knew we had to give it a shot. And you know what? It worked!” Holly said. “Our Labrador, Jerry, has always suffered GI issues, but not with Pet Wants, and his coat is soft and shiny and he’s full of energy.”

Pet Wants’ carefully developed proprietary pet food is slow-cooked in small batches with fresh, all-natural ingredients once per month, so every kibble is guaranteed to be fresh and packed with nutrition. In addition to being made fresh monthly, Pet Wants only sources the best salmon, chicken, lamb, brown rice and other ingredients available. There’s no sugar added, no fillers and no animal by-products and, since Pet Wants never uses corn, wheat, soy or dyes, the food is a great fit for pets with allergies.

Pet Wants Springfield offers free, personal delivery to Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Rogersville and the surrounding communities.

“When we realized the difference Pet Wants made for Jerry, we knew we were sold on Pet Wants, both as customers and as franchise owners. We’re so excited to be able to offer Pet Wants to pet families in the community we’ve lived in for more than 30 years,” she said. “I’m personally excited to tell people about the nutritional value of Pet Wants. When we were trying to find food for Jerry, we researched everything and tried all kinds of food, but nothing worked until Pet Wants. It’s miraculous.”

“You should feel good about what you’re feeding your pets and, with Pet Wants, I know you will,” Holly added.

Pet Wants originally launched in Cincinnati in 2010. Owned by Michele Hobbs, the business was built to provide proprietary crafted, fresh, slow-cooked, all-natural pet food delivered to customers through a retail store and a convenient home-delivery service. Hobbs, now the company founder, turned the business into a franchise in 2015 with the help of Franchise Funding Group, an investment and franchise-development company designed to help entrepreneurs scale their companies nationally as franchise systems. Pet Wants Springfield is locally-owned and operated franchise of Pet Wants’ national company.

About Pet Wants: Pet Wants was started by Michele Hobbs out of love for her pets and frustration. Veterinarians were unable to help relieve her dog’s painful skin allergies. After doing much research, Michele discovered the national dog food brand she trusted was not fresh, not all natural, and lacked sufficient nutrition...and when pet food sits in warehouses and store shelves for months and months… it loses even more nutritional value. She was committed to developing a better solution for all dogs and cats. Their food is exclusively crafted… fresh, healthy, slow-cooked and all natural with no sugar added, no fillers and no animal by-products. They source only the best salmon, chicken, lamb, brown rice, and other ingredients. Fresh ingredients make for better food… and better health for pets. And since they never use corn, wheat, soy or dyes, the common pet health problems associated with these ingredients are no longer worries. Their fresh food is conveniently delivered to the customer within weeks of production, not months. Roughly half of Pet Wants products are sold through their store and half through their convenient, home-delivery program. You can learn more at http://www.PetWants.com.
