Thanks to Kroger, pet owners will have the necessary supplies to feed their furry loved ones post Matthew.

The grocer donated $27,000 worth of pet food and treats to the Humane Society of Savannah.

They, in turn with help from CEMA distributed those supplies Tuesday afternoon to those who needed them.

"We have a lot of food we really want to help as many people as we can," said Selah Delacos, Humane Society of Savannah. "We know a lot of people are displaced with their pets after Hurricane Matthew and maybe don’t have the means right now to purchase the food and the supplies that they need."

If there are any pet food supplies left over, they will be taken back to the Humane Society and used there.
