J.M. Smucker Co. lowered its sales outlook for the year after a disappointing quarter for the pet foods it is counting on to drive growth.
Smucker has bought pet-food brands including Meow Mix, Milk Bone and Rachael Ray’s Nutrish in recent years, aiming to offset declines in its legacy people-food business.
