As such, the 2016 gathering marks the 5th annual celebration of the SupplySide CPG Editor's Choice Awards—recognizing some of the coolest new launches of consumer packaged goods (CPG) products across more than 20 categories.
The Pet Food category continues to be crowded. In keeping with consumer demand for clean-label, formulations "free from" certain ingredients such as artificial colors or flavors, grains, gluten or corn are still very popular, as are products positioned toward other human nutrition trends. Innovative Pet Treats are a niche with room for growth, particularly for those offering nutritional benefits or addressing a specific population—whether by health concern, age, breed size, activity level or other.
One winner in each category will be announced on the SupplySide Central Stage at SupplySide West 2016, held at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
