It is called a fun, furry, family event.
The Pet Expo at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi kicks off Friday.
You can either bring your pet or go home with one.
Pet Expo Spokesperson Mike Palmer said, "It's a really fun filled family event. It's a lot do fun. We've got tons of entertainment here. There is rock and roll canines, dock diving dogs, we got exotic birds, we have reptiles, things for everybody and anybody who loves any type of animal."
People who don't have pets can walk away with one.
"There is 25 different rescue groups that are all local here, including Detroit Dog Rescue, amongst several others. It's a great opportunity to not only find a dog, but also a cat."
And when you get a pet, you have to get some pet supplies.
"Premier Pet Supply has over 5,000 square feet of supplies. We are also offering special discounts to those families who do adopt here at the event," Palmer explained. "They can come to our stores and 25% off of any of their entire purchase."
If you want to bring your dog, you have to pre-register it as long as it has all the required vaccinations and is over six months old.
The event is:
Friday 2pm to 8pm
Saturday 10am to 8pm
Sunday 10am to 5pm
