Black Friday usually equates to buying stuff for ourselves and for those on our Christmas lists. But let’s not forget our furry family members either!
Animals may not recognize Black Friday, but we shouldn’t forget about our four-legged friends while we’re out shopping.
It’s also a day where we can stock up on pet supplies for a good price! And get a few stocking stuffers for our pets as well.

First up: PetSmart. They have doorbuster sales that end by noon. If you’re an early-riser, you can get discounted cat litter, canned cat food, and cat scratcher posts. Not a morning person? That’s okay, there’s still discounts on cat and dog treats, and 30-pound bags of Purina or Nutro dog food are $30 and $40, respectively.
Plus if you spend at least $35 on cat and dog supplies, you receive a $5 gift card for a future purchase. Because your animal will always need more things!
Next up: Petco. While their deals aren’t as robust as PetSmart, they still have a few that are worth your while. If you need holiday apparel, decorations, or toys for your fuzzy loved one, they have a buy-one-get-one 50% off deal. Does your dog need a new bed? Their You & Me Pawsitively Plaid beds are 50% off.
Thirdly, Pet Supplies Plus (for you midwesterners and east coasters). Their sales are the entire weekend and only if you have a Member Card. You save anywhere from $9 to $18 on dog food and $9 on Purina cat chow. If you need new furniture for your cat, their scratch and play playground is up to 50% off.
If you have an animal on medication who refuses to take their pills, try out Greenies Pill Pockets, which are $4.50 off per package.
And lastly, an online deal for Nuzzle, a GPS collar for your pets. If yours is the kind to escape from the backyard or bolt from the house every time a door opens, take a look at their website (the collar includes a compatible app!).
