NOVATO, Calif., Nov. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Wagster Treats, part of Homeward Bound of Marin's innovative employment training program, today announced that its "life-changing" dog treats will be offered at more than 60 Pet Food Express stores in California.
Pet Food Express is the first major retailer to sell the treats, which are baked on-site by students and graduates of the culinary job-training program. All proceeds from Wagster Treats sales will support shelter and job-training programs at Homeward Bound of Marin, which provides shelter for more than 1,300 homeless individuals and families.

Wagster Treats are baked in small batches in the state-licensed training kitchen in Novato, Calif. Not only are they healthy for dogs, they are also good for the community by employing Fresh Starts Culinary Academy graduates in all aspects of the business.
Wagster Treats are vegan, healthy and natural dog biscuits made from human-grade ingredients with three chef-inspired recipes that are free of wheat, soy and corn. They have just six ingredients each in three flavors: Peanut Butter & Molasses, Apple & Toasted Almond, and Banana & Toasted Coconut.
Wagster Treats made its debut in spring 2016 with sales at local farmers' markets. The treats continue to be available at farmers' markets in Marin County, independent grocers, and pet suppliers. Just in time for the holidays, Wagster Treats will be available at all 60 California Pet Food Express stores.
