Monday night (12/5), the Joplin City Council will discuss loaning $100,000 to Heartland Pet Food Manufacturing. According to City documents, Heartland plans to expand its Joplin facility and create another 45 jobs. The loan would be forgiven in two years if Heartland creates at least 46 jobs, with more than half being low-to-moderate income hires. Monday’s Joplin City Council meeting starts at 6pm; News Talk KZRG will be there and have full coverage for you afterwards.
