Pet Supplies Plus hosted a pet adoption today and some lucky local animals found their 'furever' homes.
Several local adoption groups brought animals in need of a loving home to the store.
Traci Saviak, from Krewe de Rescue, said, "When you adopt from us, you get an animal that's used to living in a home. They're pet-ready. They're ready to live in your house and be your new family member."
Pet Supplies Plus also took in donations of food and pet toys from from the public during the event.
