The Fayetteville Public Library is collecting pet food donations for the annual Ranger’s Pantry Holiday Pet Food Drive through Wednesday, Dec. 20.
Dog and cat food of all types may be placed by the tree in the children’s section of the library at 125 W. Mountain Street. All donated pet food will help keep the pantry’s shelves stocked and ready for distribution this winter.
Library patrons last year donated over 400 pounds of pet food as part of the annual drive.
The program, led by the city’s Community Resources Division, provides food to families who are struggling to feed their pets in an effort to help keep animals at their homes instead of being turned over to the animal shelter in times of need. The program benefits applicants who are Fayetteville residents and meet HUD’s income guidelines.
For more information about the program, call 479-575-8260.
