Two weeks before Thanksgiving, The Tribune-Democrat ran a story that the shelves in the Pet Food Pantry at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Locust Street, downtown Johnstown, were nearly bare.
Within a few days of the article, the donations were rolling in and the dog/cat food, dry and cans, plus treats were brought to the church office and it has hardly stopped.
We have donations literally from far around this area and from a few states, many of them anonymous, so this is big thank you to all the people that I could not personally write to.
We appreciate so much all the caring and help that is given to the Pet Food Pantry. It helps so many families who feed the many strays and abandoned pets. We never want any animals to go hungry, and without the donations, we would have a hard time helping them.
So from all of us at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, we want to say again how blessed we are to have all the help that everyone gave us.
Thank you again. You all know who you are.
