Community Food Bank
of Southern Arizona

Mission: The food bank responds to the root causes of hunger and seeks to restore dignity, health, opportunity and hope to people living in poverty. Our mission is to change lives in the communities we serve by feeding the hungry today and building a healthy, hunger-free tomorrow.

Wish list: Nonperishable food items, especially peanut butter, breakfast cereal, canned tuna or chicken, canned soups, fruits and vegetables; rice and pasta, beans, canned tomato products.

Address: Donations are accepted at the Community Food Bank at 3003 S. Country Club Road from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, or at branches in Marana, Nogales, Green Valley and Amado. A list of drop-off locations may be found at www.communityfoodbank.org under the “Get Involved” tab.

Educational Enrichment Foundation

Mission: Providing resources to expand and enrich student learning in the Tucson Unified School District.

Wish list: New underwear, bras and shoes (for students K-12); toothbrushes and unopened toothpaste; backpacks; copy paper; USB flash drives (4GB or larger); calculators (scientific, graphing and standard); composition books; No. 2 pencils (made in the USA); hand sanitizer; dry-erase markers and Sharpies.

Mission: We are an adoption-guarantee animal shelter.

Wish list: Dog food — good quality dry or canned dog food, grain-free preferred; cat/kitten food, dry and wet; frozen raw skinless/boneless chicken, lean ground beef, ground turkey, tilapia; low-salt or salt-free chicken stock; Braun lens covers for ear thermometer; latex gloves, small/medium; paper towels; printing paper; cat litter; dog chew toys/cat toys; slip leads, Mendota or similar.
