The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is opening up their shelves to government employees affected by the shutdown that can't afford to feed their pets.

The shelter says all WilCo residents need to do is bring their government ID or employee badge to the shelter to get up to a 12 pack of dog canned food, a bag of dog food, a bag of cat food, and a bag of cat litter, depending on the needs of your pet family.

WilCo's animal shelter is located at 1855 SE Inner Loop in Georgetown.
