The FDA is cautioning pet owners not to feed their pets a certain brand of dog food after a sample tested positive for Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes.
According to the FDA, two samples of Performance Dog's frozen raw pet food tested positive for Salmonella and/or Listeria monocytogenes.
The FDA says the food was produced on or after July 22 this year.
The agency says the food could be a serious threat to both animals and their owners.
Consumers are urged to stop feeding the food to your pets and throw it away in a secure container where other animals cannot access it.
