Massachusetts-based companies rank among the most pet-friendly places to work in America, according to a new survey from Wellness Natural Pet Food. For three years now, the pet food company has highlighted the most pet-friendly workplaces in America to celebrate the upcoming national holiday, Take Your Dog to Work Day, on June 21.
The survey found that 65% of American pet owners believe company culture benefits from having pets in the workplace. Close to half of those surveyed by Wellness also said “pet perks” are important to consider with job offers, “with one in five millennial pet parents noting specially that being able to bring their dog to work is important when considering a job offer.”
The following is Wellness Natural Pet Food's ranking of the top 10 pet-friendly workplaces in America:
10. Purely Elizabeth
Purely Elizabeth is a leading natural foods brand based in Boulder, Colorado. The B Corp pushes for employees to spend more time with their dogs in the pet-friendly culture where pets are always welcome. The 16-person company launched in 2009 is known for its granola and oatmeal.
9. TripAdvisor
The Needham-based travel company TripAdvisor was founded in 2000 to help global travelers easily book trips. TripAdvisor has 8.3 million accommodations, restaurants, experiences, airlines and cruises, and also lets employees’ bring their dogs to the office. The headquarters are known as a pet-friendly environment, with dogs seen walking around.
8. PetSafe
As the largest manufacturer of electronic pet training products in the U.S., PetSafe’s offices in are full of pets. The employees’ dogs frequently test new toys and treats to help with the Tennessee-based company’s research, planning and design. PetSafe is determined to create “best moments” between pets and their owners.
7. Ticketmaster
The Beverly Hills, California entertainment company Ticketmaster welcomes employees’ dogs and provides their owners with pet insurance. The international company merged with Live Nation in 2010 to create Live Nation Entertainment, comprised of Ticketmaster, Live National & House of Blues Concerts, LN Media and Artist Nation Management.
