High Country Bank Pet Food Drive helps Fidos and Felines - by Jan Wondra - The Ark Valley Voice

June 7 is a day to acknowledge the important work done by the Ark-Valley Humane Society and county residents are invited help them help the animals they rescue. All day today June 7, you can donate pet food at the High Country Bank, U.S. 50 location in Salida. For ever pound of pet food donated at the High Country Bank Pet Food Drive today, the financial institution will donate a dollar to the Ark-Valley Humane Society. Donations will be accepted from 9:00 a.m. Through 4:00 p.m.

The foods needed by the Ark-Valley Humane Society include:

Purina One or Purina Pro Plan for Dogs & Puppies

Purina Pro Plan Kitten food, either wet or dry food

Purina Cat Chow Complete, or any of the Purina wet food for cats

Any type of wet canned foods for dogs.

It’s yet another example of HCB’s commitment to the Arkansas River Valley through its sponsorship of dozens of events that benefit the community and its residents. The locally-based financial services institution appears to go quietly about its sponsorships, always shining the light on the organizations it supports.

Donors have an opportunity to benefit from their generosity. The Ark-Valley Humane Society will be making 50 free micro-chip coupons and 50 free engraved name tags for those donating dog and cat food available during today’s event, offered on a first come-first serve basis.
