The Unity Christ Center is hosting their annual pet food drive to help out our furry friends.
The Can Do 4 Pets drive will be from November 1 to December 15. All donations collected will be delivered to St Francis Food Pantry on Truax Blvd in Eau Claire. All cash donations will be used to purchase additional food.
The drive’s goal is to help Chippewa Valley families who are struggling financially with feeding their furry family members. They believe families shouldn’t have to surrender their pets to a shelter because they can’t afford to feed them. Last year almost 9,000 pounds were collected and they hope to increase that number this year.
Unity Christ Center and Prism Coupons are also sponsoring a Thanksgiving dinner with the proceeds to be used to purchase pet food. The dinner will be held on November 28 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at Unity Christ Center at 1808 Folsom Street in Eau Claire. The cost is a free-will offering and all leftovers will be donated to Sojourner House.

Monetary donations can be made at any of the collection sites and at Paws and Claws. Any checks should be made out to Chippewa Valley Cat Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations can also be made via Paypal to cvcats@hotmail.com.
