Pet Food Drive at Emma Clark Library will run from October 19 - 31. Collecting new, unopened pet food (both canned and dry), and all are welcome to donate (residents or nonresidents) during Library hours. There will be a table located in the Library's lobby. Teen volunteers will also help run the drive by picking up food and dropping it off at various locations.

This is part of the 3rd Annual Great Give Back Day, a Suffolk Cooperative Library System initiative whose mission is to provide opportunities for library patrons to participate in meaningful, service-oriented activities. Emma Clark is helping to support our furry friends! In addition the the Pat Food Drive, there will be two special youth community service opportunities on October 19. Teen volunteers (grades 7 – 12) will make cat toys for shelter cats, which will keep the cats busy while they wait for a fur-ever home. Kids in grades 5 & 6 will create dog toys. By participating in these classes, volunteers will learn the joy of giving back to others, and they will also earn community service credit. The toys will be donated to local pet shelters and animal rescue and advocacy organizations.
