Eaton County Sheriff Department collects pet food donations - WILX-TV

DELTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) - The Eaton County Sheriff's Office got into the holiday spirit Saturday afternoon.

They helped families in Eaton county struggling to feed their pets.

Donations of canned food and unopened bags of pet food were collected at Soldan's in Delta Township.

A member of the county's mounted division says, it's all about spreading goodness this holiday season.

"This is us giving back to our community because it's hard this time of year for anybody, so being able to give back to them so they could have a little more peace and joy during the holidays, it's what it's all about," said Carla Wiborn of the Eaton County Mounted Deputy.

Donations were collected by the Eaton County Animal Control and the Eaton County Mounted Division.
