|When Royal Caribbean called us to see if we could assist in mobilizing food and supplies to St. Maarten, we jumped into action!
So pleased to partner with @RoyalCaribbean to get food & supply donations in #SanJuan for #StMaarten where animals are in desperate need ❤️ http://pic.twitter.com/P876Vl71Hs

The cruise line had a ship docked in Puerto Rico, ready to go to St. Maarten, where thousands of families and animals were displaced following hurricane Irma.
PETA worked with locals to deliver several hundred pounds of food to the terminal!
What You Can Do
Never leave your animals behind in a natural disaster. Hurricanes are not preventable, but the unnecessary suffering and death of animal companions are.
PETA’s Animal Emergency Fund makes it possible for us to respond quickly when disasters like the flooding in Texas put animals in danger. They, too, are devastated by natural disasters, and they, too, deserve all the help that they can get.
