The Westminster Tractor Supply Company, 1151 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster, is welcoming all leashed, friendly animals to visit the store during Pet Appreciation Week, through Sept. 17.
Pet Appreciation Week, the retailer's biggest pet food and supply sale of the year, includes a pet supply drive. Customers can drop off new, sealed food, toys, cleaning supplies and other essential pet accessories such as beds, scratching posts, leashes and bowls through Sept. 17, to be donated to local rescues and shelters.
On Saturday, Sept. 16, the store will host a community event featuring pet adoptions, demonstrations on pet nutrition, and a free Greenies dental dog treat for customers, while supplies last. This year's event will also include Bella Bully Buddies Rescue, and Double Dog Dare Rescue on site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and a 4-H & FFA cook out from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
