Here is a list of some of the East Bay restaurants, bars and food businesses that are collecting donations, raising money or sending supplies to people who’ve been affected by the North Bay wildfires. Berkeley
Maker’s Common is donating 10% of proceeds made from wine sales from Friday, Oct. 13 to Sunday, Oct. 15 to the Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund. Maker’s Common, 1954 University Ave. (at Bonita Avenue), Berkeley
Eureka! is donating a portion of their proceeds made on Monday, Oct. 16 to help support communities affected by the fires. Eureka!, 2068 Center St. (between Shattuck and Milvia), Berkeley
Bartavelle is accepting donations through 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13. Suggested donations include new or gently used bedding and sleeping supplies, as well as adult and baby diapers, toiletries, first aid items, child toys, formula, pet supplies, water, face masks. Donations can be brought between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. (If no one is available at the annex, stop by the cafe at 1603 San Pablo Ave.) Bartavelle Annex, 1609 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley
Donkey & Goat Winery is accepting donations through Saturday, Oct. 14, to deliver to the North Bay on Monday, Oct. 16. Drop-offs can be made 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Suggested donations include flashlights, tarps, bedding, water, tents, cots, toiletries, non-perishable food, batteries, extension cords, diapers and pet food. A donation site is being set up at Missouri Lounge in Berkeley, where canned food, water, blankets and pillows, socks and hygiene products (soap, toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine care items, etc.), kids items (toys, coloring books) and pet items (crates, pet food, leashes, collars, etc.) are being accepted. According to The San Francisco Chronicle, Equator Coffee will partner with Urban Remedy and Flour Craft Bakery to provide coffee and pastries for 200 people taking shelter at the Marin County Civic Center. Equator Coffee has a location at UC Berkeley’s ASUC Student Union.
The Alameda County Community Food Bank announced on Facebook it will send a supply truck Wednesday, Oct. 11, to Sonoma County. The supplies have been collected already, and the food bank itself is not a drop-off point. “Our hearts are with everyone affected by the North Bay fires. And we are standing with you, Redwood Empire Food Bank. Check their website or Facebook page for ways you can help,” a local Food Bank staffer wrote.
Oakland
Oakland Yard wine shop will be donating 100% of proceeds from sales of its California wines by the glass. It also announced it will be collaborating with other East Bay shops to hold a fire relief fundraiser tasting event on Oct. 21 (Event details to come). Farley’s announced on Thursday, Oct. 12, that it will be donating all money placed in the tip jar for the day to the Napa Valley Community Foundation. Farley’s East, 33 Grand Ave. (between Broadway and Webster), Oakland
Charlie Hallowell’s trio of Oakland restaurants Boot and Shoe Service, Pizzaiolo and Penrose will all be taking donations this week, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Friday, Oct. 13. Donations should be non-perishable goods. A few suggested donations include: respirator face-masks, non-perishable food/pantry items, tents, bedding, sleeping bags/cots/pads, toiletries, pet supplies (leashes, food, beds, cages), medications and first aid, diapers, baby formula, clothes, shoes, zip lock bags, plastic bags and gloves. All three restaurants are also serving Sonoma-themed cocktails, with a percentage of proceeds going to fire relief. Curry Up Now sent a food truck to the Petaluma Police Station to feed first responders on Thursday, Oct. 12. Curry Up Now is also at the Petaluma Fairgrounds helping to organize and hand out supplies to people displaced by the fires. Curry Up Now has locations all around the Bay Area, including in Oakland and Alameda in the East Bay.
Sweet Bar Bakery is collecting donations for fire evacuees, which will be distributed to Marin Civic Center. Canned food, baby food, diapers, pet supplies and new sheets and blankets are your best bet. Sweet Bar Bakery, 2355 Broadway (at 24th St), Oakland
Blue Bottle Coffee is donating $1 for every NOLA iced coffee it sells at any of its Bay Area locations through Sunday, Oct. 15. Proceeds will go to the Redwood Credit Union Community Fund.
Cat Town Café posted on Facebook and Instagram Monday that it is on standby to help evacuate cats at Ella’s CatHouse & Catnip Bar in Napa. “Our dear friends at Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch may need help evacuating the cats at their cat cafe in Napa. We are on stand by to help, but don’t yet have all the details. In the event there is an urgent need to get these cats to safety, please email info@cattownoakland.org to let us know if you can be at the ready to help. And if you don’t live in the Bay Area, but know someone who does, please share!”
Craft beer bar and bottle shop The Good Hop will be a donation site until the end of the week. It will also take donations at its Oskar Blues Time Warp Tiki Party event Wednesday, Oct. 11. Attendees at this event can bring in donations and/or add a $6 “Fire Relief Beer” to their tab (money raised will go to North Bay shelters). On top of that, Oskar Blues will buy a pint of beer for anyone who brings a donation to the event. The Good Hop, 2421 Telegraph Ave. (at 24th St.), Oakland

The Ivy Room posted on Facebook, “We personally know a handful of folks that have lost their homes and it’s unfathomable to think about what they’re going through right now. We want the Ivy Room to be an East Bay donation spot for y’all to drop off needed supplies for the community up north.” The bar will be open for donations from 4 to 8 p.m. daily; it will accept donations until the evacuee centers will not take any more. St. George Spirits announced on Instagram that it will be donating all tour and tasting proceeds this week to the Redwood Empire Food Bank and the Napa Valley Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund. Emeryville
INNA Jam will be donating 100% of sales on its Santa Rosa Plum Shrub to the Redwood Credit Union North Bay Fire Relief. The shrub can be purchased online or in person at its Emeryville kitchen shop. INNA Jam, 1307 61st St. (at Doyle), Emeryville
Richmond
East Brother Beer announced on Instagram that it is “donating 5% of total taproom sales this week to organizations aiding in relief efforts.” It is also accepting donation at its taproom for needed supplies. Please bring only new items. East Brother Beer, 1001 Canal Blvd., Richmond
Salute E Vita Ristorante in Richmond’s Marina Bay posted on Facebook that it is accepting donations to transport them to relief centers in the North Bay. The restaurant is asking for ready-to-eat, easy-to-open non-perishable foods. Do not bring food in glass containers or anything perishable.
