LINCOLN, Neb. The Capital Humane Society got an early Christmas gift from Arnie's Pet Foods. The donation was $5,000 worth of organic dog and cat food that will feed up to 4,000 animals at the humane society.
"It's about giving back locally and when you give back to your community you know where it goes," said Dave Titterington, owner of Arnie's Pet Foods.
Titterington said that he gave the Capital Humane Society this donation because they are switching to all organic locally brand food for their business.
"Right when I knew we were going to change brands of food I knew our inventory would go the Capital Humane Society, no questions asked, said Titterington.
The truck full of food went right to the animals, and they licked their plates clean.
