The Pet Valu store at 2337 E. State St. in the Eastgate Plaza is open and provides a wide variety of food, supplies, toys and other products for pets such as dogs, cats and reptiles. Just inside the door, to the left in the Salem store, is the pet bathing area and above it is a mural of the Swings and Things at Centennial Park. Anna DiGregorio, a spokesperson for Pet Valu said, “We always have local murals in our stores because we consider ourselves the local pet store in our communities …. our staff is trained in pet nutrition through the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. They are certified Pet Experts.” Store hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday (New Year’s Eve), from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday (New Year’s Day), hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. For information visit Pet Valu on Facebook or call 234-567-4158.
