Protecting your pet from sub-zero temps - KARE

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesotans knew it would not last.

Our recent mild temperatures will give way to more single-digit highs and subzero windchills between Jan. 12–15. Experts say it’s very important for pet owners to properly protect their four-legged family members from winter’s brutal bite.

Bubbly Paws co-owner Keith Miller appeared on KARE 11 to share some good, common sense

tips for dog lovers. Miller also explained how long animals should stay outside in frigid weather.

Miller appeared on the 11 a.m. show with three rescue dogs.

The Daschund mix, “Cayenne," is available now for adoption through Good Karma Animal Rescue. All dogs sported the latest protective winter gear, everything from a cool winter jacket to a sporty sweater to cute booties. The items worn can be purchased at Bubbly Paws, Chuck and Don's Pet Food & Supplies and Bentley's Pet Stuff.
