Petnet and Petnostics have partnered to provide pet owners with detailed information about breed, activity levels and health to determine which pet foods are best for their pets.

The company announced an integration agreement Tuesday with Petnostics, a company that provides at-home urinalysis for common companion animal health issues. Through the agreement, Petnet customers can benefit from Petnostics' intelligent health diagnostics technology to ensure that their pets are receiving the right foods.
"Petnostics fits perfectly with Petnet's vision, which is to improve pet health and happiness through smarter feeding," Petnet CEO Carlos Herrera said.
How It Works
Pet owners collect their pet’s urine directly into a provided Petnostics cup or cat litter, and then use the company’s smartphone app to scan and analyze the results. Petnostics uses urine testing to screen for diabetes, dehydration, kidney stones, liver disease, anemia and more.
By using this pet health data in concert with Petnet's algorithms on breed, age, activity and environment, pet owners “can learn what, if any, health conditions their pets might have and fine-tune their diet to address the condition," Herrera added.
"If you've ever wished your pet could tell you when something is wrong, this is your answer," Petnostics Founder and CEO Stephen Chen said. "With our easy-to-use test kits, pet parents can detect conditions early on and work with their veterinarian to prevent them from becoming more serious."
