O'Fallon New Business Report: Pet Supplies, Cars, Construction, Stuffed Pizza - 70 West Sentinel

In a report to the O’Fallon City Council, the city’s Economic Development Department noted that 16 new businesses had applied for business licenses in October.

Those businesses are:

These new businesses could bring as many as 69 full-time jobs and 85 part-time jobs to the city, the department reported. The largest employers should be Walnut Grill with 20 full time and 55 part time employees. Craig and Son Concrete expects 12 full time employees, and Nancy’s Pizza expects 10 full time employees.

Six of the new businesses will be in Ward 1, two in Ward 2, three in Ward 3, two in Ward 4, and three in Ward 5. Four of the businesses are home-based.

The report also listed 15 O’Fallon businesses undergoing construction, remodeling or redevelopment projects:

  • Altitude Trampoline (O’Fallon Square)
  • Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts (new on South Highway K)
  • The Beauty Bar (Winghaven Centre)
  • BioLife Plasma Center (new at Bramblett and Mexico)
  • Bramblett Hills Apartments (addition)
  • Centene Data Center (addition)
  • Culver’s (new at Bramblett and Mexico)

Only one business, Bee Brite Learning Center, was reported as having closed in October.

The Economic Development department reported that in the fourth quarter, to date, the city had a 94.7 percent occupancy rate for retail space, a 91.4 percent rate for office space, and a 97.7 percent rate for industrial or flex space.
